thewDynamic programming is a numerical method used to solve sequential problems.  It is applied in a great number of fields, transportation, medicine, engineering, and forestry.  My research uses dynamic programming to solve the optimal stand density and rotation problem.  My basic DP research focuses on how dynamic programming methodology can affect results.  My applied DP research uses dynamic programming to investigate optimal stand management schemes efficiently under a variety of economic conditions.
