The 2006 Symposium for System Analysis in Forest Resources (2006 SSAFR) will bring together scientists working in economics, operation research, management sciences, systems analysis, and information technology to make presentations and share the latest in research and application of advanced technologies in managing and problem solving in forest resources.  The symposium will be the 12th SSAFR sponsored by the Society of American Foresters E4 Working Group (Management Sciences and Operations Research).

The location for the 2006 SSAFR will be The Inn at Essex, which is home to the New England Culinary Institute.  This colonial-style inn has all the charm of New England with modern amenities such as free internet access, a library, heated pool, tennis courts, gardens, and three nearby golf courses.

The 12th Symposium on Systems Analysis in Forest Resources should be of interest to educators and researchers, forest products businesses, public and private land management agencies, technical professionals, and software developers and vendors.  From cutting-edge theory to state of the art technology applications for forest resource problem solving, the symposium will be exciting and informative!
