West Virginia University Assistant to Associate Professor of Wood Science Taught 5 to 8 of the following courses per year: Plant Layout for Wood Industries, Machining of Wood, Forest Products Decision Making, Statistical Quality Control, Wood Adhesion, Wood Tech for Foresters, Architectural Woodworking, Primary Conversion (Sawmilling), Graduate Course in Operations Research Modeling, Freshman Orientation, and Southern Industry Tour.

Named "Outstanding Teacher" for the Division of Forestry for 1992. (31 Faculty in Division)

Assisted various state and local task forces, industry and economic development groups. Set-Up or assisted with over 11 workshops, symposia, and technical sessions.

1982

Texas A & M University Lecturer and Research Associate Taught course in Decision Making for 2 years.

Conducted research project on developing a computer decision model for sawmill efficiency.

1973-

1980

Texas Forest Products Laboratory Wood Technologist Liaison between the Lab and wood industry; sawmill expert for state (50+ sawmill studies); gave 10-15 lectures per year to architect and civil engineering students on wood and wood products; assisted with various research projects at the lab; and Editor of monthly newsletter.

Colorado State University Research Assistant Taught 2 section lab on wood properties.

Conducted research on nailed joints.
