All files with the *.dat extension contain unformatted (ASCII) data for the variables mentioned in FIELD METHODS.  Each *.dat file is accompanied by an explanatory file with the *.doc extension.

The data are separated into tree-level data and plot-level data.  Tree-level data are data files that contain measurements for every tree measured.  Plot-level data are data that are summarized by plot.
 
 

Tree48.dat, Tree48.doc - contains diameter at breast height, total tree height, height to live crown, crown ratio, Doyle log rule, International-1/4" log rule, and total cubic foot volume and plot level data for all individual trees for inventory ages of 12, 15, 16, 19, 24, 27, 30, 35, 36, 37, 40, 43, 45, and 48.

Diam7_13.dat, Diam7_13.doc - diameters at 1 foot and 3 feet above ground level at inventory age 30.

Cw_7.dat, Cw_7.doc - crown width at inventory age 30.

Crown.dat, Crown.doc - diameter at crown base at ages of 27, 30, and 35.

DiameterHeightAt45.dat, DiameterHeightAt45.doc - contains diameter at breast height, total tree height, forked stem height (if exists), height to live crown, and heights to the stem diameters of 2 to 32 inches in increments of two for the main stem and forked stem for inventory conducted at age 45.

DiameterHeightAt48.dat, DiameterHeightAt48.doc - contain diameter at breast height and total tree height for inventory conducted at age 48.
