The Games people play

Our latest endeavor with gaming is the Nintendo Wii I
must say, I'm very impressed with the concept and the performance of the
system. This could be a revolutionary change in the gaming industry. The
Wii gets you off the couch or floor and into the action. It even adds
much needed exercise to the surprise of most that try it out. It's more
fun than it looks and can revitalize family time. |

I play EA games Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 most
often. I still like many Xbox games like Football and Boxing. |

The boys play (WOW) World of Warcraft, a massive
multiplayer online game. They used to play a lot of America's Army (AA), a free 1st person
shooter game developed for recruiting purposes by the US Army. Not bad
for a freebie, but you better have some pc horsepower if you expect to
play and be effective in the game. (And who says gaming is just a kids
past time) And of course they try a variety of games, and are very
flexible and open to testing different ones. |

Many years ago I felt gaming would become a big part of
our society, I'm still shocked it finally exceeded the income of the
Entertainment industry. Ha! |

I was one of the pioneer's of Internet gaming on PC's
way back in the 90's and the days of loading the network protocols
within DOS on computers. We even setup LAN gaming early on, with games
like Doom, Duke Nukem and Rise of the Triad. |
