School of Forestry Presents End-of-Year Awards (5/10/07)

Dr. Donnell D. White, Jr. (second from right), associate professor of forestry at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, was recently selected to receive the James M. White Professorship in Forest Resources. The professorship honors the late James M. White of El Dorado and was created by Deltic Timber Corporation and the family and friends of James White. Donnell White has been a member of the UAM faculty since 2000. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southwest Missouri State and a Ph.D. from Montana State. Also pictured (from left) are Dr. Richard Kluender, dean of the UAM School of Forest Resources and director of the Arkansas Forest Resources Center (AFRC), R. David Ray, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, and Dr. Philip Tappe, professor of wildlife management, associate dean of the School of Forest Resources and associate director of the AFRC.

 Dr. Philip Tappe received 2007 Faculty Service and Achievement Award.

Dr. Philip Tappe (right) was recently selected to receive the 2007 Faculty Service and Achievement Award from the UAM School of Forest Resources. Tappe has been a member of the faculty since 1991. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Ph.D. from Clemson. Pictured with Tappe is (left) Dr. Richard Kluender, dean of the School of Forest Resources.
