Elwood Shade Forest
Resources Scholarship
Established by Elwood Shade of Monticello, Arkansas. Mr. Shade
was a faculty member in UAM-School of Forest Resources from 1956
–
1981.
University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Scholarship
Given by the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture to
promote education in forestry and wildlife management.
Bankston Scholarship
Established in honor of Marvin and Edna Bankston by Bob and
Louine Leech. Mr. Bankston was president of Arkansas A&M from
1936-
1946.
Henry Berg Scholarship
Established in honor of Mr. Berg by his wife Mrs. Helen D. Berg.
H. H. Chamberlin Wildlife Scholarship
Established in the name of Mr. Hank Chamberlin, who served as
head
of the Department of Forestry from 1945-1970.
Steve Crowley Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mr. J. H. Hamlen of Little Rock, Arkansas, in
honor of
his former employee.
Robert L. Hixson, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Established by friends and family of Mr. Robert L. Hixson, Sr.
Mr.
Hixson was the founder of Hixson Lumber Co.
O. H. “Doogie” and Patsy Darling Scholarship
Established by O. H. “Doogie” and Patsy Darling of Crossett,
Arkansas.
Dallas County Conservation District Scholarship
Established by the Dallas County Conservation District for the
winner
of the Future Farmers of America District contest held in
Dallas, County.
H. H. Chamberlin Forestry Scholarship
Established in the name of Mr. Hank Chamberlin, who served as
head
of the Department of Forestry from 1945-1970.
George H. Clippert Scholarship
Established by George and Maxine Clippert. Mr. Clippert was the
president of Southern Pulpwood Co., Inc. in Camden, Arkansas.
Carroll E. Walls Scholarship
Established by Carroll E. Walls. Mr. Walls began Dupont’s
forestry
group in 1977. He retired from Dupont after 38 years of service.
Timothy Ku Scholarship
Established by his family to honor Dr. Timothy Ku of Monticello,
Arkansas. Dr. Ku taught at UAM for 37 years in the forestry unit
before his
retirement in 1997.
W. W. and Anne Jones
Funded in honor of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Jones by the Jones Trust.
Henry B. Humphry Memorial Scholarship
Established by family and friends in memory of Henry Brandon
Humphry for a dual forestry and wildlife major.
James A. Hudson Scholarship
Established by the James A. Hudson Memorial, Incorporated of

Bluff, Arkansas.
Fred A. Lang Scholarship

Director
of the Arkansas Forestry Commission.

was Chairman of the Board of Murphy Oil Company.

a prominent forester in South Arkansas.
