Research
School of
Forest Resources faculty conduct research under the auspices of
the Arkansas Forest Resources Center. The Arkansas Forest
Resources Center, a University of Arkansas Center of Excellence,
is a collaboration among the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment
Station, the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, and the
School of Forest Resources that focuses on developing and
delivering superior programs in education, research and
extension that enhance and insure the sustainability of
forest-based natural resources.
Faculty are
actively involved in wide variety of applied research that
addresses problems, issues, and opportunities related to natural
resources. Program areas include forest ecology and management,
economics and policy, wildlife ecology and management, wildland-urban
interface issues, hydrology, remote sensing, biometrics, growth
and yield, and wood products. More information on research
